Paul Rada
Hi.

My name is Paul Rada.

To those that work with me, I'm often known as a maker, designer, programmer, but mostly as a product guy. I've studied and worked in entertainment business and product design. I'm also a self-taught programmer with production frontend and prototype backend experience.

Design

"Our guiding principle was that design is neither an intellectual nor a material affair, but simply an integral part of the stuff of life, necessary for everyone in a civilized society." - Walter Adolph Georg Gropius

I cut my teeth learning design at Art Center in Pasadena. I then transferred those skills into tech by auditing computer science classes in CalTech and working as both a designer and programmer in the startup world.

I'm endlessly grateful to have discovered a discipline that alters my everyday outlook for the better. To this day I credit design thinking for helping me make the best decisions of my life, in or out of the office.

If you're interested in finding out more about the process and how I use it, don't hesitate to reach out.

Programming

"It’s the equivalent of a bicycle for our minds." - Steve Jobs

It's cliche, he meant a computer, but it perfectly explains what programming has been to me. When I started I thought it would be just another craft, but then its theory superseded my thoughts. Now I can only see the world by its abstraction.

It's also one of my favorite mediums to experiment with.
